A Visit to the “Desert Daughter” Farm

A cross between heritage and desert enchantment

Desert Daughter Authentic Bedouin farm, in Tel Sheva.

The farm invites its guests to rest in the shade of the mysterious desert and the medicinal herbs grown there. Visitors will enjoy a unique visit including educational instruction and an inside view of how Desert Daughter health products and cosmetics are produced. All products are based on Bedouin family traditions dating back over 400 years. The products are made of natural organic ingredients.

Lectures and workshops are given at the farm in Hebrew, English and Arabic on various subjects: unique qualities of medicinal herbs, unique qualities of camel’s milk, desert beauty – natural cosmetics, and the status of Bedouin women.

Desert Daughter offers interactive workshops: preparing natural medicinal creams from desert herbs, making remedies for different ailments, Bedouin coffee-making ceremonies, pitta baking, ecological building, etc.

Desert Daughter products are available at the store on the site. Tours and workshops are given by the Desert Daughter staff.

Options for visiting:

Regular visit (free) – includes a free 11/2 hour tour of an authentic Bedouin tent with tea and amazing stories about the Bedouin and the Abu Rkeek family, known as pharmacists from nature.

Visit + Lecture (minimal cost) – includes a 11/2 hour tour of an authentic Bedouin tent with amazing stories about the Bedouin, and a lecture to be chosen from a wide-range of lectures. Guests will enjoy Bedouin tea and “Sada” coffee.

Workshops – (additional cost) a choice of the various workshops offered.

All activities open a window to the wonderful and fascinating world of the Bedouins in general and specifically Bedouins in Israel. An authentic Bedouin breakfast or lunch – vegetarian or meat – is available.
